Our team completed a full exterior transformation featuring new CertainTeed Monogram vinyl siding in Pacific Blue, Azek trim upgrades, new gutters, and additional exterior finishing details across multiple structures on the property. ![1000020422](https://blog.thegridironguys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/1000020422.jpg?width=3840&height=2160&name=1000020422.jpg) ### Project Scope ###### This project included: - Two main 3-story condominium buildings - One standalone house - Three detached garages ###### We installed: - CertainTeed Monogram .046 vinyl siding - Double 4” clapboard profile - Pacific Blue color finish. - Azek trim boards around key openings and entrances - PVC textured trim coil wrap - Smooth white aluminum fascia wrap - New gutter systems with upgraded downspouts - Shur Flo gutter guards on select sections ![1000020463](https://blog.thegridironguys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/1000020463.jpg?width=4032&height=3024&name=1000020463.jpg) ### Why the Owners Chose Vinyl Siding The original wood lap siding required frequent repainting and ongoing maintenance due to the exposure from the Lake Erie shoreline. The ownership group wanted an exterior solution that: - Reduced long-term maintenance costs - Improved durability against moisture and wind - Updated the overall appearance of the property - Added consistency across all buildings The CertainTeed Monogram siding system was ultimately selected because of its durability and high-wind performance. | ![6a746332-aa6a-43d3-8dba-7aa6d6d70e2a](https://blog.thegridironguys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/6a746332-aa6a-43d3-8dba-7aa6d6d70e2a.jpg?width=1920&height=1440&name=6a746332-aa6a-43d3-8dba-7aa6d6d70e2a.jpg) *Before* | ![20260514_182832866_iOS - Copy](https://blog.thegridironguys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/20260514_182832866_iOS%20-%20Copy.jpg?width=5712&height=4284&name=20260514_182832866_iOS%20-%20Copy.jpg) *After* | | --- | --- |   ### Building for High Wind Conditions on Lake Erie One of the biggest challenges on this project was the building height combined with the constant wind exposure from the lakefront location. To provide additional structural security, the owners specifically requested that the siding installation be fastened directly into the wall studs instead of relying on standard fastening into the existing wood siding alone. CertainTeed Monogram siding is well known for its snap-lock design, making it an excellent choice for high-wind areas like this Lake Erie property. ![1000020453](https://blog.thegridironguys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/1000020453.jpg?width=551&height=413&name=1000020453.jpg) ### Exterior Trim & Finishing Details In addition to the siding installation, several custom exterior finishing upgrades helped complete the overall transformation. #### Azek Trim Installation ###### Azek trim boards were installed: - Around the rear openings - Around the front entrances of the main buildings - Around all garage door frames and openings - Fascia & Trim Wrapping ###### We also wrapped: - Fascia boards in smooth white aluminum coil wrap - Additional openings with textured PVC trim coil wrap These finishing touches helped create a clean contrast against the Pacific Blue siding while minimizing future maintenance needs. ![1000020461](https://blog.thegridironguys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/1000020461.jpg?width=4032&height=3024&name=1000020461.jpg) ### ![1000020452](https://blog.thegridironguys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/1000020452.jpg?width=4032&height=3024&name=1000020452.jpg) ### Gutter System Upgrades The property also received a full gutter replacement system, including: - 5” gutters with 2”x3” downspouts - 6” gutters with 3”x4” downspouts - Shur Flo gutter guards on many sections The upgraded drainage system helps protect the buildings from water intrusion while improving long-term exterior performance. ![1000020436](https://blog.thegridironguys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/1000020436.jpg?width=4032&height=3024&name=1000020436.jpg) ### The Final Result The completed project dramatically updated the appearance of the property while giving the owners a durable, low-maintenance exterior solution designed for life on Lake Erie. The combination of Pacific Blue siding, crisp white trim, and upgraded exterior systems created a modern coastal look that will perform for years to come. | ![1000020464](https://blog.thegridironguys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/1000020464.jpg?width=4032&height=3024&name=1000020464.jpg)   | ![1000020467](https://blog.thegridironguys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/1000020467.jpg?width=5712&height=4284&name=1000020467.jpg)   | ![1000020457](https://blog.thegridironguys.com/hs-fs/hubfs/1000020457.jpg?width=5712&height=4284&name=1000020457.jpg)   | | --- | --- | --- |   #### Product Information Brand: CertainTeed Series: Monogram Thickness: .046 Profile: Double 4" Clapboard Color: Pacific Blue   ### Need a Durable Exterior Solution for Your Property?
